 I am so excited you came across my website!

My name is McKenzie, but most people call me Kenzie for short. My zodiac sign is an Aries & a "3" on the enneagram & I have to say both describe me perfectly. I am fueled during my days by coffee, no matter the time. 

 

I am the face behind Oak Salon Studio! When opening my business I knew I wanted a name for my business that was effortless, yet luxurious & inspired by something I love!  

 

If I am not at the salon, I am most likely hanging out at home mommin' my sweet son, Otto, redecorating my home or drinking a glass of wine with my hubby, Austin and playing with our fur babies, our corgi named Oakley & Willow, our red golden retriever!

 

Our first pup Oakley was the inspiration to my business name "Oak" Salon Studios. He was our new beginning at the beginning of the pandemic Spring 2020, he is always an adventure & will always be my first baby. After reaching the many meanings of "Oak", I had found "Oak- something of small or modest dimensions may grow into something very large & impressive" & in that moment, Oak Salon Studios was born!

I have wanted to have a career in the beauty industry ever since I was a little girl. I have a strong passion for making my clients feel confident & beautiful. My goal everyday is to help give each guest an environment where they can take a few hours away from their every day lives & sit down, relax & feel beautiful!

I feel I am a unique stylist because I have been surrounded by the industry since I was just fourteen years old. I started in the industry sweeping up hair, folding towels & answering phones just after starting high school at a local salon near my parents house. It was so much fun! I worked there for almost three years when I decided I wanted to work somewhere a little bigger to really get my foot in the industries door. I started as a receptionist at one of Omaha's largest salons at the age of seventeen. I worked at the front desk learning the business way, through the end of high school & during hair school. I went to Xenon Academy in Omaha & graduated in 2016.

After hair school, I assisted under some of Omaha's most talented stylists. I learned cutting edge techniques & later built a beautiful clientele of my own. In November 2019, I opened my very own salon studio! It was always a dream of mine to be my own boss!  I love what I get to do every day & cannot thank my clients enough for helping make this dream of mine, a reality.
